O mês de Abril está a terminar da melhor maneira para os Thunder & Co.. Na semana passada foram anunciados no Super Bock Super Rock, numa edição muito especial, a 21ª, que marca o regresso do festival a Lisboa; e, neste fim-de-semana, foram anunciados noutros dois eventos:

– o ViraPop, em Amares, na 1ª edição de um evento que «terá uma vertente musical forte que pretende ligar o tradicional Vira do Minho ao que de melhor se faz no espectro da “nova música portuguesa”.»;


– o Indie Music Fest, em Baltar (Paredes), eleito em 2014 com o  Melhor Micro-Festival! “Um festival totalmente nacional que tem com objectivo proporcionar três dias de celebração artística a todos os espectadores aleado a um ambiente de extrema beleza natural.”

Estes convites não são alheiros ao facto do álbum de estreia dos Thunder & Co., “Nociceptor”, continuar a receber boas críticas, inclusivamente internacionais:

– The Guardian (GBR): “Thunder & Co are a band from Lisbon who make dour but catchy electropop (…). Their infectious choruses are more like chants – think Hot Chip with a hint of Foster the People – designed for communal singing in clubs.”


– Acid Stag (AUS): “… it is pretty damn good.”


– Happy (AUS): “Thunder & Co are a synthpop duo straight out of Lisbon that lather swoon and electronica (…). the basic ability to write a catchy tune is what pulls these fellas through.”


– I Heart Moosiq (EUA): “Thunder & Co. bring plenty of magnificent and crystalline synthpop on their song N.I.K. (…) a dreamy and emotional nu-disco tinged, dance pop leaning offering from the Portuguese band.”


– Monkey Place Music (FRA): “… la superbe intro « Up, Down, Strange, Charm, Bottom And Top » , « Apple », « ONO » ou « N.I.K » qui emmènent l’album dans des contées ou il sort du lot et l’inscrivent dans le paysage de musique moderne, planante, aux relents de post-disco/funk dont l’écoute est une belle découverte”
